IT Competence Group SE, which is listed in the m:access segment on the Munich Stock Exchange, has reported its figures for the first half of 2020.
 
The service company has had an extremely successful first half-year. Despite the lockdown imposed in the reporting period, it achieved the strongest result in the history of the company.
 
In the first half of 2020, the overall performance increased by 3.1% to EUR 13.1 million (June 30, 2019: EUR 12.7 million). The overall performance for the second quarter was EUR 6.5 million, which also represented a slight increase.
 
The EBITDA for the first six months grew disproportionately by 37% to reach EUR 0.9 million (first half of 2019: EUR 0.7 million). The EBITDA margin in the first half-year amounted to 6.9%. In the second quarter, the EBITDA was EUR 0.4 million. The EBIT for the first half-year also grew significantly to reach a value of EUR 0.8 million (first half of 2019: EUR 0.5 million).
 
In addition to the very positive operating performance, there was extraordinary income from tax and interest. An appeal against a tax assessment was concluded successfully after several years and yielded a tax rebate with interest of EUR 0.2 million.
 
The volume of orders on June 30, 2020 amounted to EUR 15.8 million, which represents a further significant increase compared with the same time last year (June 30, 2019: EUR 14.3 million).
 
In spite of the coronavirus pandemic, the company closed the first half of the year according to plan and without adverse effects. The order situation for the second half of the year remains good, so management is confident that the company will meet its objectives for the year, which include stable revenue and significantly increased earnings figures.
 
Irrespective of this, management expects additional revenue and profit contributions this year through the acquisition of the audius companies, which is to be decided at today’s Annual Shareholders’ Meeting.
